YORK-BASED Shepherd Engineering Services (SES) has been appointed as the building services contractor on a £3 million social housing phase at the new King’s Cross Central development in London.
The phase, Building R4, consists of a 14-storey building consisting of 117 apartments in total.
Working with Carillion Construction, the London & South East Division of SES will be responsible for the design and installation of the mechanical and electrical services in the first residential building of the scheme.
The project is expected to get under way this summer and be completed early in 2012.
SES is also pitching for other work on the 67-acre development.
