AUGEAN, the Wetherby-based hazardous waste group has made a pre-tax loss of £431,000 in the first half of 2010.
The loss, reported in its interim results for the six months ended June 30, includes £200,000 of restructuring costs. During the same period of 2009, the business made a profit of £673,000 before tax. Revenues dipped from £16.8 million in 2009 to £16.3 million during this period.
The board said the results were in line with its expectations. Chief executive Paul Blackler said: “The encouraging signs of a recovery in our markets have continued into the early part of the second half of the year.”
