YORKSHIRE Water has partnered with four contractors to deliver £330 million of investment.
The business has appointed ETM, Morgan Sindall Grontmij, Black and Veatch and Mott MacDonald Bentley to upgrade water and waste water treatment works, including Acomb Landing water treatment works in York.
The investment includes a £110 million investment programme will improve the quality of bathing water along the east coast of Yorkshire to meet the revised bathing water directive.
The work is part of a £1.35 billion investment programme for the next five years announced by Yorkshire Water in March that aims to future-proof the company’s treatment works against extreme weather conditions, help protect the local environment and guarantee a secure supply of drinking water.
