A FERTILISER company in Pocklington has been praised for its health and safety initiatives.

Yara Pocklington has been commended for its good housekeeping rules, incident reporting and engagement with its workforce by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health at the Best Factory Awards 2010, in London.

The firm’s site is the global centre for the development of a range of foliar and micronutrient fertilisers and its products are distributed to more than 60 countries worldwide.
