FALCON Lubricants Limited, a Malton-based distributor of oils and greases, has been sold to Millers Oils Limited of West Yorkshire, for an undisclosed sum.
Falcon Lubricants was founded by Bill and Liz Craven in 1984 and has expanded into a multi-million pound turnover business based in Showfield Lane, and with a customer base that stretches across the UK and into northern Europe.
Millers Oils, which is based in Brighouse, provides oil blending services and distributes its products across the the UK.
The corporate finance team of York chartered accountants Garbutt & Elliott provided the financial advice for Falcon, while legal advice was provided by a team led by Matthew Smith from the York office of Dickinson Dees LLP.
Graham Garbett, of Garbutt & Elliott Corporate Finance, said: “This is a tremendous deal for both parties. Bill and Liz can retire in the knowledge the company will be run by an ambitious and profitable Yorkshire business.”
