MORE than 100,000 businesses have obtained a range of business support services backed by Yorkshire Forward over the past year.
The latest figures are announced a year after the regional development agency launched its Economic Response Unit to help enterprises in the region combat the effects of the recession.
Much of the support for Yorkshire has been delivered through Business Link Yorkshire, and in the current financial year, includes business health checks, financial health checks, grants, export support grants and backing for research and development.
The figures show there have been 3,914 Business Link health checks, 264 Business Link financial health checks, 65 company investments from the £5 million transition loan fund and 21 business investment grants.
