YORK Professionals held its annual dinner last week, raising money for fellow member Catherine Adamson and her charitable endeavour.
The black-tie event, held at York Racecourse saw the city’s business community entertained by guest speaker, journalist and broadcaster Declan Curry who gave his view of the economy and the effects of Brexit, before comedian Lea Roberts spoke after the Yorkshire-themed dinner.
Entertainment was also provided by musician La Fox.
Money on the evening was raised in support of Catherine Adamson, from Kaleidoscope Virtual Assistant Services, who next week will walk the entire length of the Cleveland Way (109 miles), to raise money for The Island, which supports vulnerable young people and SASH, which works to prevent youth homelessness.
