A YORK MP has celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by visiting young workers in his constituency.
Running until Friday, the week recognises the positive impact that apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy
Mr Sturdy said: “I am delighted to support this year’s National Apprenticeship Week, which celebrates opportunities for young people to learn whilst they earn.
“Apprenticeships are fantastic routes into exciting careers as they enable young people to get the critical industry experience that is so important to employers today.”
Becca Knowles, head of Networks and Engagement, added: “Through our network of STEM Ambassadors, we connect with thousands of young people across the UK - and it is important that we do all we can to inspire them to learn and grow, and go on to rewarding careers.”
