NEW directors have joined bus company Arriva to cover services in the North East and Yorkshire.

Led by Nigel Featham, regional managing director, the eight-strong team has been joined by recent appointments Lisa Davies, Steve Rowell and Jon Croxford.

Lisa Davies returns to Arriva as regional HR director from law firm Ward Hadaway, while Steve Rowell joins as regional engineering director from Vivarail Ltd, and had previously worked for Arriva under the guise of Tyne and Wear Metro.

Jon Croxford is area managing director for Arriva Yorkshire and one of the group’s youngest directors.

He joined Arriva in 2014 as a general manager after starting on the First Bus graduate management programme in 2008.

Nigel Featham, regional managing director, said: “It’s great to get the final pieces of the jigsaw in place for the region.

“We now have a strong directorship team, helping and guiding a great senior management team, capable of delivering the service our customers want and expect.

“It’s an exciting time for the industry and a very exciting time within Arriva North East and Yorkshire right now.

“Lisa, Steve and Jon are joining the already established Arriva North East and Yorkshire directorship team of Nick Knox - area managing director for Arriva North East, David Cocker - regional finance director, Richard Johnson - regional marketing director and Simon Finnie - Yorkshire Tiger managing director.”

Arriva Yorkshire provide bus services across the whole county from West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire to North Yorkshire.

The company runs 330 buses on a network of some 175 local bus services and has a depot in Selby.

Arriva run services across York and it’s villages as well as to Selby.

They also provide school transport for Archbishop Holgate’s CE Academy and Fulford School in York.
