A YORK-BASED digital marketing agency Edge 45 is celebrating a year of phenomenal growth with a move from Hiscox Business Club to a new, larger office in the centre of the city to accommodate a growing team.

Edge45 was established by managing director Colin Docherty in April 2015 and has since seen its revenue grow more than ten times.

It now employs three full-time staff, with plans to recruit another two people in the near future. Edge45 moved into the Hiscox Business Club, a free office space hub for small businesses, in April, and has expanded rapidly. It has now outgrown the shared space available at Hiscox and moved to larger private office space within ACollective on Pavement, York.

New clients include York-based Damson Audio, winners of Technology Business of the Year at last year’s Press Business Awards, Bytemark, a large cloud-hosting company, and Langleys Solicitors.

Edge45 began with a focus on search engine optimisation (SEO), but the company now offers a suite of digital services, from email marketing and social media management to Pay Per Click advertising and conversion rate optimisation, as well as traditional SEO.

Mr Docherty said: “Thanks to the leg up we were given by Hiscox and the support of the wider York business community we have been able to secure some great clients.

“My vision for Edge45 has always been to offer a complete online marketing service to our clients – SEO just isn’t a standalone service anymore - and as our team continues to grow and develop, so does our depth and range of expertise meaning that the value we can offer our clients is ever increasing.

“Digital marketing is such a valuable tool to businesses and it’s our aim to help them to take full advantage of the opportunities.”

Anna Spencer at Langleys Solicitors said: “Colin and the team at Edge45 have brought a fresh approach to our online marketing and we are already seeing tangible results from the work that they are doing for us.

“Having a strong and prominent presence online is increasingly important to us and their support, advice and guidance are helping to ensure we stay one step ahead of the digital trends.”
