YORK-headquartered Costcutter Supermarkets Group has received two national industry accolades for its independent range of products.
The Dunnington-based business took the titles at the Retail Industry Awards, which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last week.
Launched 18 months ago the Independent range, which includes fresh meats and vegetables through to confectionery and household items, won the top awards for its Strawberry Bonbons and Shortbread Biscuit Fingers as well as being shortlisted for its Thai Sweet Chilli Crisps.
Jodene Rogers, head of Marketing for Independent said: "We are delighted to receive this accolade for our Independent range.
"We’ve worked hard over the past 18 months to develop a range which ensures our 2,600 retailers are able to offer their customers top quality produce and choice, combined with the convenience they expect for their local corner shop."
The night saw a double win for Costcutter Supermarket Group, with two of its members also picking up Independent Retailer of the Year.
