A NORTH Yorkshire insurance broker is growing its customer base in the pub trade after being recommended by two national licensing bodies.

Thirsk-based PxL Insurance has been named as the recommended broker by the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) and the Federation of Licensed Victuallers Associations (FVLA).

The move has opened up a potential client network of 10,000 members in the BII alone for PxL, which is run by director Jamie Jenkinson.

Mr Jenkinson, who's sister Sarah also works at the firm, said: "We are delighted to partner up with both the FLVA and BII - two leading groups in the pub industry.

"We were initially given test cases by the BII to find competitive quotes for some of its members. And so far we have helped members find better deals which save them money and suits their businesses' needs.

"The BII has about 10,000 members and we are helping businesses across the country, not just in Yorkshire.

"It can be a stressful time finding insurance for your business. We are not only helping secure cheaper deals, but also better policies which are appropriate for their firms.

"It is exciting times here at PxL."

Mr Jenkinson, who has 15 years experience in the insurance industry, said PxL has already one multi-venue operator from the Stafford area save around £8,000.

Although the firm specialises in pubs and licensed premises, it also deals with other areas of insurance including liability, home, fleet, tradesman, manufacturing and life insurance.
