A YORK firm of solicitors has been appointed by national insurer NFU Mutual to its main legal panel for England and Wales.

Langleys is one of only three law firms chosen by NFU Mutual for the main panel to provide a full service for its claims litigation.

The other two are Kennedys and DAC Beachcroft.

The appointment sees Langleys’ 35-year relationship with NFU Mutual continue for a further initial period of at least three years from May 1 this year.

Langleys’ managing partner and head of insurance, David Thompson, said: “This is a prestigious appointment for Langleys, being retained on the panel demonstrates the strength of our considerable insurance knowledge and experience in this specialist area.

“We are delighted to be continuing our association with NFU Mutual and its members.”

Langleys, which has offices in Micklegate in York and Lincoln, took part in a tender process as part of a full review by NFU Mutual of its legal panel.

NFU Mutual chief claims manager Matthew Scott said: “Our revised legal panel will provide all the capabilities required to support the future needs of our members.

“We are looking forward to further enhancing the excellence of our claims delivery.”
