YORK law firm has announced the arrival of a new head of banking and finance across its wider operation.

Lupton Fawcett Denison Till, which also has offices in Leeds and Sheffield has welcomed director Nick Bell to the role.

Mr Bell was previously a partner at Ward Hadaway and prior to that worked at Pinsent Masons. His specialisms include corporate banking, asset finance, project finance (including PFI and infrastructure finance) and real estate finance.

The firm said Mr Bell’s appointment marks an important strategic development for Lupton Fawcett Denison Till as he will lead the Banking and Finance team to diversify the firm’s banking offering across all three of its offices’ to institutional and corporate clients.

 

• JON North has joined the team at Lindum in York as senior construction manager to lead on a number of projects including housing schemes for Broadacres at Burnholme and Linton-on-Ouse and the Clifton Moor Retail Development for British Land.

Mr North joins Lindum from international construction company Mace where he was a senior construction manager within their Retail division.

 

• Walker Crips Wealth Management’s York office, which has been planning for clients for almost 35 years, has expanded its services to clients in Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

As a result the firm has appointed chartered financial planner Katie Machin to join their team. She joins with more than 11 years’ experience of helping clients with concerns around protection, pensions, investments and inheritance tax planning.

 

• WASTE management specialist Yorwaste has appointed Chris Leach as director of sales as the North Yorkshire-based company seeks to expand over the next few years.

Mr Leach, who has worked in the waste industry for 25 years, has joined Yorwaste from West Yorkshire based Orchard Environmental, where he was associate director of sales.

The 57-year-old has been tasked with coordinating and driving the commercial side of Yorwaste’s business, including exploring new business opportunities and increasing profitability.

 

• New account manager Richard Beveridge is set to cast fresh light on solar power options in the York area.

He has joined Renewable Energy Investments (REI) as the company extends its Solar Power Purchase Scheme to meet increasing demand across the region. Mr Beveridge has been appointed as account manager for York, and REI’s seventh account manager overall.

 

• Family owned farm feeds business I’Anson Brothers Ltd has appointed a technical sales manager to support the company’s continuing growth.

Philip Stockill brings more than 30 years’ experience to the role and is based at the company’s plant at Masham, North Yorkshire.

Formerly an I’Anson customer in his previous role at Primary Diets, Mr Stockill has also held various nutritional posts at agricultural feed businesses including Four-F Nutrition, Harbro and SCA Nutec.

 

• GROWING sales at an East Yorkshire farm machinery importer has led to recruitment. Sancton based Manterra Ltd. has recruited Bishop Burton graduate Hannah Bottomley to the new position of office manager.

Miss Bottomley, 21, from Seaton, is involved with all elements of Manterra’s sales, marketing and administration functions. Her appointment takes the number of employees at the farm based business to seven.
