EAST Yorkshire's Pipe and Glass Inn has landed another award after taking third spot in a top 50 list of UK Gastropubs.
The Michelin-starred pub, at South Dalton, near Beverley, took the placing in this year's Morning Advertiser/Budweiser Budvar Top 50 Gastropub Awards, while also winning top slot in the awards’ new Wine List of the Year category, sponsored by Berkmann Wine Cellars.
In both 2013 and 2014, the Pipe and Glass was named as fourth best gastropub in the UK.
This year it was behind only the Sportsman in Kent and the Pony & Trap in Somerset.
The Pipe and Glass was taken over in 2006 by chef James Mackenzie and his wife Kate, who runs front of house. It has held its Michelin star since 2010, and is also this year’s Good Food Guide National Dining Pub of the Year.
