A RETAIL venture set up to celebrate Yorkshire's brewing industry is expanding as it celebrates its second year in business.
Yorkshire Ales opened in Snaith in 2012, selling a selection of beers from the region, sourced by owners Vicky and Adrian Pettitt.
Now the business is expanding after the shop next door became available, offering Yorkshire Ales more retail and serving space.
Over the past two year the business has also grown to supply local restaurants, shops and hotels as well as selling more than 200 beers online, opening a shop in Malton and concessions in Ripon and York.
To celebrate the expansion and second anniversary Yorkshire Ales has teamed up with Revolutions Brewing Company in Castleford, to create a celebratory beer - "The Future's So Bright (We Gotta Wear Shades)".
Mrs Pettitt said: "We are passionate about showcasing the diversity and quality of local independent microbreweries, and remain committed to only providing beers that are brewed in Yorkshire and hope to extend the range even further now with more rooms to fill."
