IT'S traditionally been a male-dominated sector - but now a York web development and digital marketing company is breaking the mould with its latest recruits.
See Green, based at Clifton Moor, has taken on three new team members, and they’re all women.
The new employees are web developer Emilie Brown, and project and digital marketing staff Katie Burnside and Evie Lees.
Director Anne Taylor said: “The digital sector is often seen as male-led, and in the past I have been the sole woman at the company.
“We were looking to expand and thought carefully about the roles we wanted to create. It was a case of the right people for the jobs, and it just so happened they were all women.”
She said the company, which provides web services and digital marketing support to both businesses and the public sector and has regional, national and international clients., was formed back in 2008 at a very difficult time for the economy, but six years on it was expanding.
It was currently taking part in the Government’s Growth Accelerator scheme, which aimed to help companies realise their potential.
