A NATIONAL business advisory group has appointed a York advisor to its network.
Simon Barker has become a York and North Yorkshire advisor for ibd Business Advice Group.
Having previously held the role of associate commercial director at a FTSE100 pharmaceutical company, Mr Barker will offer his skills and experience to the region’s growing small firms under the ibd umbrella.
Having successfully managed local and national sales teams, his most recent role involved aligning marketing strategy with overall commercial strategic plans in the UK.
Mr Barker said: “This background means that I am very aware of the challenges and issues that are facing any business that needs to sell products and services in a competitive market.
“I am delighted to be able to offer my expertise together with that of ibd’s other 250 advisers to local owner managers.”
