A YORK business mentor has been appointed as the new chairman for the North Yorkshire branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Ed Reid, who has been a member of the IoD North Yorkshire committee for some years, will take the position alongside running his business The Alternative Board.
Mr Reid, who has a blue-chip background having worked with some of the UK’s leading companies prior to setting up his business four years ago, including roles with British Steel, Diageo and Nestle, said he is looking forward to driving up IoD membership, encouraging more business leaders to pursue professional development and persuade York universities to promote continued development.
