A NEW beer shop has celebrated its launch by brewing its own beer in association with a local micro- brewery.
Yorkshire Ales, which recently opened in Snaith, teamed up with Barlow-based Brown Cow Brewery to produce Genesis, a new bottled beer sold exclusively in the shop.
Shop owner Adrian Pettitt said the pale golden ale was brewed to an old recipe Brown Cow Brewery got from an old brewery which had closed down.
He said: “What we want to be able to do is to have a range of five different styles, including a blonde one, a darker beer, a porter and a stout.”
The shop, which was set up to help promote Yorkshire breweries and currently stocks 139 different real ales from 35 different breweries, has called the new beer Genesis to signal the start of the range.
