A YORK web design agency has been recognised by The Encephalitis Society as its corporate partner of the year.

Impulse Media, based in Heworth, has worked with the Malton-based charity, which helps people with encephalitis, or swelling of the brain, on producing its website earlier this year.

The agency, set up by Ben Brown, Mark Starzynski and Tom Kneeshaw in 2010, was presented the award at a special event held 125 encephalitis sufferers in London.

Tom Kneeshaw, of Impulse, said: “Receiving our award at a ceremony in central London, we had the chance to meet a mix of encephalitis sufferers and the amazing team trying to help the cause. We also had the chance to celebrate our award with double Olympic gold medalist Rebecca Adlington, a strong face behind The Encephalitis Society.”
