Awards for Handmade Brick Company

INDEPENDENT brickmakers York Handmade Brick Company has won three categories in the 2012 Brick Awards.
York Handmade, based at Alne, near Easingwold won the Best Single House, the Best Craftsmanship and Specialist Brickwork Contractor categories for projects including Four Oaks in Little Bedwyn, Wilts; Tupgill Cellar, near Middleham, North Yorkshire and Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester.
David Armitage, chairman, said: “We are particularly proud to be involved in three fantastic projects this year, all of which have been honoured in the Brick Awards. This is our best result ever in these awards.”
