STAFF at web and marketing agency See Green have recently found themselves evaluating future prospects after being tasked with coming up with a vision statement as part of the government’s Growth Accelerator scheme.

See Green has worked with numerous York companies and organisations, including York Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, City of York Council, York Cookery School, Business Support York and North Yorkshire, York Professionals, Little Green Rascals day nurseries, and Manor School to name a few.

But the company, based at Clifton Moor, has also worked with clients as far afield as the Switzerland, Germany, the USA and Australia and has developed websites in languages such as Chinese, Japanese, German, Spanish and French.

See Green, which has developed more than 350 websites and currently manages around 300, is vying to be crowned Small Business of the Year, while director Anne Taylor is in the running for Business Personality of the Year.

When Dan Taylor set up web agency See Green, back in 2008, his wife Anne never thought she'd be joining him at the helm, let alone be growing the business.

But when she returned to work after maternity leave, Mrs Taylor, a former communications manager, was intrigued to see if she could use her skills within See Green.

Mrs Taylor joined the company in 2009 and since then has taken on the mantle of growing the business, while the company's portfolio has expanded to include marketing.

But not only is the mum of two, 34, a busy company director, but she is now driving the future of business in York onwards and upwards as a board director of York Professionals.

She said: "I'm really very passionate about business in York, not only is this my home but I know that the city is a fantastic place to do business."
