Five years ago, Dan Taylor left his job at a top Leeds-based media company to set up his own web design and development agency.

Since then See Green, based in Marsden Park, Clifton Moor, has continued to grow both in staff numbers and profit and is hoping for success as the top Small Business Of The Year at The Press Business Awards 2013.

Flying solo to start with, Dan was joined by two more members of the team before wife Anne joined as communications director in 2009. Now with six members of staff, See Green has continued to grow at a time when many enterprises are facing tough times.

Director Anne puts the success down to their diverse client base, which ranges from small businesses through to public-sector and multinational organisations.

She says: “In this time of austerity, we are finding that commercial businesses and public-sector organisations alike are thinking smarter about how to engage with their target audiences. As internet usage grows, they are turning to the web to help them achieve their objectives.

“Not only are our clients looking at creating new websites or updating existing ones, they are investigating other online facilities such as project specific microsites, training tools, secure intranets and member areas.

“Once, it was enough for people to simply have a web presence, but now there’s a real shift towards meaningful online engagement, bespoke design and efficient and business-enhancing functionality.

“See Green offers all that and more.”
