A family-owned Tadcaster bistro has been awarded the prestigious certificate of excellence from Trip Advisor for the second year running.

Now it is hoping to be recognised in The Press Business Awards in the Small Business of The Year and the Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Year categories.

The Granary Bistro, launched in September 2011 by Richard and Eileen Forth, now provides its diners with a contemporary 12 table bistro-style restaurant setting in which to enjoy a top quality dining experience, whether having breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Everyone is catered for and whether they are single diners, couples, families or groups, the bistro provides a relaxing venue during the day or a more intimate and exclusive dining experience in the evening.

Serving locally sourced produce, the menu changes on a regular basis, providing good food at reasonable prices.

Eileen says: "The whole team at The Granary always strives to maintain an excellent standard of service and the Trip Advisor awards reflect the hard work everyone puts into this."

With four full-time and two part-time members of staff, the team have high hopes for the future.

Mr Forth said: "We want to continue to provide the local community and diners from further afield with the wide variety of delicious dishes and high service standards that our customers have come to expect and enjoy.

‘‘Our Trip Advisor reviews and awards speak for themselves with more than 70 positive comments and our aim is to stay in the number one position in Tadcaster."
