A NEW business is reaching for the skies as it enters The Press Business Awards 2013.
Skyline Images, which takes aerial photo and video using a remote-controlled unmanned aircraft system, is hoping to fly away with New Business Of The Year at the event in November.
Chris Ayres, owner of the York-based business, photographer and keen flyer of remote controlled aircraft, said: “Our business was born from passion. A passion that combines our love for all things radio controlled with an equal passion for photography and videography.
“We have worked hard and invested time, energy and money in securing the right equipment as well as meeting the requirements of the legislation that governs this fledgling industry.”
The unmanned aircraft industry is subject to stringent legislation and Skyline Images has secured Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval as a licensed operator as well as securing European competence certification.
The business currently works for golf courses, hotels, architects and builders, estate agencies and motorsports and heritage organisations and Chris said he has high hopes for the business as more organisations see what they can offer.
