COBB Derek Died peacefully on June 23rd in St Leonard's Hospice aged 83. Beloved husband of Rosemarie. A loving father to the late Maria and son-in-law Chris. Much loved grandad to Melissa and Dean, and great-grandad to Noah. Also late brother Michael, sister-in-law Betsy and family. Funeral service to take place at York Crematorium on Friday, June 30th at 3.00pm, colours other than black are welcome. Family flowers only, donations to Martin House Children's Hopsice, a plate will be provided. Enquiries to Rowley & Sons Family Funeral Services. 01904 593096.

Hi, my name is Graham Hey and I used to own the magic stall on York market - and I moved to the USA in January of this year. Derek used to call at the stall most Saturdays, and we always had a great chat and lots of laughs together! We became good friends and I was very sad to hear of his death. Our mutual friend Grenville (police officer and also a regular at the stall) emailed me the news. He was lovely man and I remember our chats with great fondness. I just thought I would send a message... Best wishes,
