MARTINDALE Harry Passed away peacefully in York Hospital on October 21st, 2014 following a short illness, aged 79 years. Loving husband of the late Mary, much loved dad of Andrew and daughter-in-law Susan and adored grandad of Lucy and Tom. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday October 29th at St Giles Church, Copmanthorpe at 11.00a.m., followed by burial in Copmanthorpe Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations will be gratefully received to support the Stroke Association, a plate will be available at the service.

Harry Martindale was a true York legend, famous for seeing the Roman Ghosts in the Treasurers House all those years ago. It was my honour to have met you. RIP sir.
