I know people will be very underwhelmed by his goals record but this I s a fantastic signing. Played at championship and league 1 for most of his career and only 26. I'd read he was going back to cheltenham and even they hoped so judging by their forum: http://www.robinsnes

agree with above, just cos his record at other clubs isnt prolific doesnt mean he wont score for york, im more hopeful that he'll create goals rather than stick them in. At the end of the day its another 6ft plus youngish player with plenty of experience of football league signed without paying a transfer fee.

welcome to the club. give 110% week in and out and you'll be adored by true fans.

Welcome Luke to the Nigel Worthington revolution. Excited by another signing which should make us stronger and able to compete at the top end of league 2. Good age and comes with plenty of experience. Keith & Russ have perhaps persuaded Luke to head north after hearing good things about YCFC. Bring on the new season

I think Jonathan Greening has been a good player but we are trying to build a team here at City and though he is experienced I suspect he would not have been able to play the amount of games Nigel will expect. That will be the reason he,s not signed him.Welcome to the Club Luke, sure you will enjoy playing here.

Welcome Luke. Another 6 footer with plenty experience of league football. YCFC are becoming a formidable squad IMO. Can't wait for fire lies, to get a first look at the new lads. Also KL and RP seem to be spreading the news about our great club and it's supporters to other players. Good on em.

Right! Job done - we have what we have and don't rely on loan players (though a class act wouldn't be turned down). Season tickets sorted so let's get the secondary spors events over (World Cup, British Grand Prix, Tour de Yorkhire and Wimbledon) and ook forward to the main event.

Anyone holidaying in Perth and Kirkcaldy during the week beginning 14th July?

Can't believe my luck, travelling to Perthshire on 19th July and saw the fixture against St Johnstone, will be great to see a game against a Scottish PL team, a few whiskies as well while I'm there!

Can't believe my luck either. In North Yorkshire on holiday from 11-18 July so will be at Sheffield Weds game and back to scotland in time to travel to Perth for the St J game. Seeing city twice in a week is going to be great, friendlies or not. Won't be at Kirkcaldy but remember seeing york there years ago. I may be wrong but I think peter duffield scored in a 1-0 win. Must admit I'd had a few in the Starks bar at the bottom of the hill.

Can't wait for next season as with Carlisle relegated there's another away game I'll get to as well as my usual two or three home games. Not many but I love them all.

Come on york

Maybe gold tops, blue shorts, white socks and green trimming for our away kit?! Remember after Argentina won the World Cup in 1978 and their terrific attacking play (Kempes/Ardilles etc.,), "Posh" changed their colours to light blue and white stripes - could we also be going South American?! Welcome to Luke Summerfield and hope he is an energetic, forceful, attacking midfielder and who can score goals for fun and also, good luck to the USA to-night!! COYR.
