WYCOMBE Wanderers are hoping to welcome back skipper Stuart Lewis for tomorrow's Sky Bet League Two clash with York City.
Midfielder Lewis has been missing with a hamstring injury for the last four matches but manager Gareth Ainsworth is hoping to have him back in the fold at Bootham Crescent.
With Josh Cowen serving the second of a two-game suspension and Matthew Spring only just recovering from a groin problem, Lewis is expected to earn an instant recall, if fit, with 20-year-old rookie Jesse Kewley-Graham likely to make way.
The Chairboys will also be without ex-Tottenham and Norwich centre-back Gary Doherty (fractured arm) and strikers Paris Cowan-Hall (ankle) and Jon-Paul Pittman (medial ligament damage) but Matt McClure is expected to shake off the ankle injury he sustained during Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat to Plymouth.
McClure is Wycombe's joint-top scorer with Dean Morgan on seven goals but neither forward has been prolific during recent times.
Ex-Luton and Chesterfield attacker Morgan has netted just twice in his last 18 appearances and McClure has managed to hit the target once in 16 outings.
On-loan forward Reece Styche has also failed to open his account during eight matches since his arrival from Forest Green.
Ainsworth's fifth-bottom team have been a stronger proposition at the other end of the pitch, though, on their travels.
A goals-against away record of 20 is League Twos' best during 2013/14, aside from that of promotion hopefuls Burton, Fleetwood and Oxford, who have all conceded just 16 times on the road.
Tuesday's defeat to Plymouth, meanwhile, ended a run of six games without a loss, which represented Wanderers' longest unbeaten league run of the season.
Wycombe are currently four points above the relegation zone but their efforts have not been helped by the worst disciplinary record in the division.
The Buckinghamshire outfit have picked up eight red cards this term with defenders Anthony Stewart and Charles Dunne, who has since returned to parent club Blackpool, having both been sent off twice.
Wycombe (probable): Ingram, McCoy, Wood, Johnson, Stewart, Lewis, Arnold, Bloomfield, Kretzschmar, McClure, Morgan.
