FIRE crews were called to a sweet factory in York after a piece of machinery set alight.
Crews were alerted to the fire at an industrial estate in Low Poppleton Lane, York, at about 8.10pm on Monday.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was small and out on arrival.
She said: "A faulty component on a sugar boiling machine is believed to have caused the fire.
"The fire was very minor and was out on arrival of the fire crews, however they used a carbon dioxide extinguisher to cool the component."
Nobody was injured.
