FIRE crews have been called to a fire in the open near Clifton Ings in York.
Two crews are at the scene, in Loweswater Road, where a five-metre by five-metre area of straw and brush was well alight.
A North Yorkshire Fire Service spokeswoman said firefighters were called to the scene at about 1.45pm, the fire is under control, and crews were expected to leave at about 2.30pm.
