The Stephen Joseph Theatre’s forthcoming world premiere of the new production of The Last Train To Scarborough has been selected to feature in the Yorkshire Festival 2014.

The multimedia adaptation of Andrew Martin’s Edwardian crime thriller will combine theatre and film with period scenes recorded at the National Railway Museum in York, and on location in Scarborough.

Former Emmerdale actor Matthew Booth will be following the clues as detective sergeant Jim Stringer.

The Last Train To Scarborough will be playing in the Round at the Stephen Joseph Theatre from May 30 to June 14, and will form part of the cultural programme for the 100-day festival to precede the Grand Départ of the Tour de France.
