YORK City Knights have announced a major new sponsorship deal with Selby-based company Mayfair Security.
Both the club and the company refused to outline how much the deal was for but Knights commercial manager Simon Moat stated it was one of the “most substantial” in the club’s history.
The rolling one-year agreement is also a groundbreaking arrangement for the club, as it includes naming rights at Huntington Stadium, whereby the Main Stand at the Monks Cross venue will now by known as the Mayfair Security Stand.
The Press understands that some of the money might “hopefully” be earmarked for squad strengthening, as well as bolster the highly-regarded community work undertaken by the club.
