YORK Knights have made two changes to their preliminary squad ahead of Sunday’s Betfred Championship clash with Toulouse Olympique (3pm).

Australian centre Jesse Dee returns from a one-match suspension after his sin-bin against Sheffield Eagles in the Betfred Challenge Cup, whilst back-rower Charlie Severs is also included upon his return to the club on loan from Betfred Super League side Hull FC.

Experienced half-back Richie Myler drops out after undergoing surgery on an elbow injury sustained in the Knights’ Championship opener at Doncaster two weeks ago, as does playmaker Nikau Williams as a result of his newly-imposed four-match suspension.

Andrew Henderson’s side will be hoping to get their first points of the season on the board after falling to a 36-20 defeat in South Yorkshire on the opening day, as will Toulouse after their narrow 24-22 loss at Sheffield Eagles.

Hooker Taylor Pemberton and outside back Brad Ward are also included in the preliminary squad of dual registration partners Newcastle Thunder ahead of their Betfred League One fixture against Workington Town tomorrow afternoon.
