RICHIE MYLER is set to make his 400th career appearance as the York Knights welcome Oldham at the LNER Community Stadium this Sunday (3pm).

The Knights welcome Oldham to North Yorkshire for their AB Sundecks 1895 Cup quarter-final clash, with head coach Andrew Henderson naming his preliminary squad.

Brendan Santi drops out of the squad following a calf injury in last weekend's 32-16 defeat to Sheffield Eagles, whilst bans for Will Dagger, Jesse Dee and Jordan Thompson won't begin until the trip to Doncaster on the opening day of the Betfred Championship season.

Brad Ward comes into the squad replacing the injured Santi, as the one change from the preliminary squad to face Sheffield.

Oldham have also named their 21-man squad, with a familiar face in Jamie Ellis involved after his move into Lancashire last year.

Henderson had explained to the Press on whether he had considered making widescale changes, saying: “I’ve got a decision to make this week and it’s pretty simple, I can either ring a load of changes and say that it’s not acceptable, or I can give everybody an opportunity to right the wrongs.

"So many of our players on Sunday, and too many to be honest, were not bringing their a-game and were not where they needed to be performance level wise.

"You can almost argue that it would be unfair to just drop one or two, because there were a lot of people in that group on Sunday that contributed to a poor performance over."
