YORK Knights will host Sheffield Eagles in the Fourth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup on Sunday, February 25 (3pm).

Andrew Henderson’s side earned their place in the Fourth Round with a dramatic last-gasp 14-8 victory at Dewsbury Rams, whilst Mark Aston’s Eagles thrashed Newcastle Thunder 88-12 at Olympic Legacy Park.

A handful of those tries were scored by former Knights pair James Glover and Matty Marsh, who both made the move to South Yorkshire during the off-season.

The sides’ upcoming Challenge Cup clash is a repeat of last year’s competition, which saw the Knights do just enough to a hold on in 24-22 triumph, after veteran second-rower Danny Kirmond sent off during the first half.

They continued that run all the way to the Quarter Finals before a 34-14 defeat to eventual winners Leigh Leopards.

And York will be hoping for a third home victory over the Eagles under their head coach, having also triumphed in the sides’ Betfred Championship fixture in July.

General Admission tickets for the fixture are priced at £15 for Adults and £10 for Concessions, whilst Under 16s go free.

Premier Club tickets, which include a padded seat, pay-buffet and access to the Premier Club Lounge will cost £20 for Adults, £15 for Concessions and £5 for Under 16s.

Away supporters are guided to purchase tickets in East Stand blocks EA and EB.

York Acorn’s Fourth Round tie at home to fellow NCL outfit Wath Brow Hornets will take place a day earlier on Saturday, February 24 (2pm).
