TWO men have been arrested following a fight outside the LNER Community Stadium in York.

North Yorkshire Police say that they were called to the ground on the outskirts of York at about 4.40pm yesterday (February 4), shortly before the conclusion of York Knights' AB Sundecks 1895 Cup clash with Wakefield Trinity.

A police spokesman said a  23-year-old man and a 58-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of assault, and were later released on conditional bail.

York RLFC confirmed that they were investigating an incident alongside the York Stadium Management Company and Wakefield Trinity after footage was posted on social media of an altercation between Wakefield Trinity supporters and matchday stewards.
