YORK Knights' AB Sundecks 1895 Cup opener at Newcastle Thunder will now take place on Saturday, January 27 (3pm).
Originally scheduled for Sunday, January 28, the fixture has been brought forward by 24 hours.
The Knights will hope to start their Group Three campaign in style at Kingston Park, before hosting Betfred Championship favourites Wakefield Trinity in their second group-match on February 4.
Nikau Williams, Connor Bailey and Alex Donaghy are in contention to make their York debuts against their former club, having made the move to North Yorkshire in a triple swoop during the off-season.
Andrew Henderson's side tasted victory on their last trip to the North East club, with Will Jubb and Myles Harrison crossing the whitewash in a 20-6 triumph last August.
General Admission tickets for the Cup tie are priced at £15 for Adults and Concessions and £5 for Under-16s.
No advance tickets will be available for the fixture, with General Admission tickets only able to be purchased on the gate.
York will not be running a fan bus, but for those driving, parking at Kingston Park is available.
