YORK Knights will begin their 2024 Betfred Championship campaign on the road at newly-promoted Doncaster.
Andrew Henderson's side will make the trip to the Eco-Power Stadium on Sunday, March 17, in what will be their hosts' first match back in the second tier following their victory in the Betfred League One Play-off Final.
Forward Pauli Pauli will be hoping to make an impact against the Knights, for whom he departed for Doncaster last month. The Dons have made a range of impressive signings during the off-season, including Featherstone Rovers' Luke Briscoe and Reece Lyne on a three-year deal from recently-relegated Wakefield Trinity.
The sides last faced each other in January, York overturning a four-point half-time deficit to claim a 28-12 victory in Henderson's first match in charge.

York's first home game will see them host beaten Betfred Championship Play-off Finalists Toulouse Olympique on Easter Sunday, March 31.
The French giants came out on top in both of the sides' meetings across the Championship calendar last term, following up a 36-0 triumph over a youthful Knights with a hard-fought 18-14 victory at the LNER Community Stadium in August.

Henderson's side will then visit Barrow Raiders the following week, Sunday, April 7, in what is the Cumbrian side's opening home fixture of the campaign.
The Knights' last trip to Craven Park proved to be a memorable one, a 31-18 victory, coupled with Halifax Panthers' defeat to Swinton Lions, handing them the unlikeliest of Play-off places.
Prior to the start of the new Championship season, York will begin their 2024 calendar with a trip to recently-relegated League One side Newcastle Thunder in the new format of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup on Sunday, January 28.
They will then host Wakefield Trinity in the competition a week later, on Sunday, February 4.
The Knights will receive their full Championship fixture list at midday tomorrow.
Ticket information is expected to be released in due course.
