THIS is what rugby fans can look forward to at York RLFC's 'Inclusion Day' at the LNER Community Stadium this afternoon (May 14).
The action-packed afternoon will showcase what rugby league has to offer across the city, and will conclude with the Knights’ Betfred Championship clash against Newcastle Thunder (3pm).
York RI Templars, an inclusive rugby team founded in 2019 who provide a safe space for homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual and transgender men to play rugby, will earlier host Newcastle Ravens in the IGR Development League North at the LNER Community Stadium (12pm).

Fans can also watch the York Learning Disability Rugby League (LDRL) team in Festival action on the Stadium’s 3G pitches from 1pm, while the York Wheelchair Rugby League Showcase will be held in the Sports Hall from 12.30pm.
The LDRL team will compete against Hull KR and Sheffield Eagles, with the Wheelchair Showcase playing host to York’s first hit-outs against North Wales Crusaders, Hull KR and Wakefield Trinity.
England’s 2021 Rugby League Wheelchair World Cup Trophy will also be on display.
York will be operating a pass-out system, allowing fans access to the Stadium’s full range of amenities while watching several of the day's matches.
