YESTERDAY'S testimonial match at Huntington Stadium was marred by a broken jaw suffered by new Knights signing Mark Spurr.
The back-rower was kept in hospital overnight after X'-rays confirmed the injury, and he was due to be operated on today. It is not yet known how long he will be out.
Former prop Lea Tichener, one of the old boys' in Mark Cain's select team, also suffered temporary concussion in the game. He needed to be helped off the field but was okay afterwards.
