Prohibitive police costs might have persuaded City's directors to bring forward Boxing Day's home clash with Halifax Town by three days, but you can still celebrate the festive season at KitKat Crescent during the York Minstermen's Christmas party.

The City supporters' group will hold their annual bash on Thursday, December 28 at the social club with tickets costing £5 for York Minstermen members and under-18s and £7.50 for non-members.

Included in the price of the ticket is one drink from the bar, a buffet, a disco and entry to a prize draw.

To book tickets, email ian@yorkminstermen.org.uk, phone or text 07814 143593, talk to the What's On flyer distributors in the car park at home games, or see Ian Tyssen at any York Minstermen event.

The club's fireworks display has also been confirmed for 6pm after City's home match with Altrincham on Sunday, November 5.

York Minstermen have organised a children's tombola stall in the car park before the display with all proceeds donated to the Youth Development fund.

A total of £600 has already been raised by the Minstermen group for the fund, which assists with the costs of running City teams from the ages of ten to 16.
