JUST one point separates the top three in The Press Player of the Year standings with season-long leader Jason Walker finally caught by Scott Kerr.

The pair now share top spot in the contest with Matty Blair a single point behind in third place.

James Meredith, meanwhile, has moved up to fourth after being The Press man-of-the-match in the last two games – the victories over Luton (1-0) and Grimsby (3-2) – to earn six points towards the competition in the process.

In the FA Trophy semi-final, first leg defeat of Luton, Lanre Oyebanjo (two points) and Kerr (one) were also recognised for their efforts as our second and third-highest rated players respectively.

At Grimsby, those honours went to Blair (two) and Michael Ingham (one).

Kerr heads the Player of the Month standings for March after sharing the two bonus points on offer with nearest rival Dan Parslow with both receiving the same number of man-of-the-match votes from visitors to our website following the Luton game.

Striker Jamie Reed, meanwhile, was the outright winner of our internet poll for the Grimsby match.
