YORK City’s Foundation team are appealing for supporters to donate winter supplies to help the homeless this Christmas.
Coats, thick socks, blankets, pillows, jumpers, sleeping bags, small tents and roll mats are all being sought as part of the “Homeless Leeds Support – York Street Kitchen” initiative.
The charity’s team of volunteers run a street kitchen every Sunday evening in St Sampson's Square from 6pm to 8pm when hot food and essential supplies are provided for the rising number of homeless people in the city.
City’s Foundation team department would welcome donations of the afore-mentioned items any afternoon this week from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
