MALTON & Norton RUFC were handed a place in the quarter-finals of the Yorkshire Cup after Doncaster Phoenix conceded their first round fixture.

The game had been scheduled for Saturday but Malton instead had the weekend off. They will now go to Sheffield in the last eight of the competition on Saturday, February 23.

Next up for Malt, meanwhile, is a trip to fellow mid-table side Driffield this coming Saturday in North One East.

There is no change to the North One East table after the only two matches scheduled for Saturday - York's game at Consett, along with Morley versus West Leeds - were both postponed due to snow.

York, looking to halt a poor run of results, host table-topping Scarborough this Saturday at Clifton Park, while neighbours Pocklington entertain Bradford & Bingley needing points to climb away from a relegation scrap.

Lowly Selby return to action in Yorkshire One away to Middlesbrough looking to kick on from their crucial victory over Keighley.

Meanwhile, fixtures in Yorkshire Four resume this coming weekend.

Having been split regionally for the first half of the season, the teams now go into premier and shield divisions.

York RI, who had finished second in the 'south east' section, host Leeds Medics & Dentists in the Yorkshire Four premier as they vie for promotion to Yorkshire Three. Neighbours Nestle Rowntree host Thirsk in the shield section.
