STRUGGLING Pocklington RUFC gave a committed display but suffered another heavy defeat in North Premier, falling 50-10 at in-form Billingham.
Five straight defeats have left the Percy Roaders deep in the relegation mire, second bottom of the table.
It was always going to be tough for them on Teesside against a side who, after a shaky start to the season, have now won seven on the bounce.
A Billingham spokesman said: "As expected Pocklington were a tough test, bringing that committed physical edge to the game.
"After a two-week lay-off there was some ring-rust and it took us a while to get going. When we did, we at last played some good running rugby to run away with the score."
Home try-scorers were Joe Evans (2), Matty Kirby (2), Ben Walton, Elliot Husband, Dan Burns
and Luke Goode Wilson, with five of the touchdowns being converted.
