ROWNTREES RUFC were 47-17 winners in a hastily arranged game at Old Leos thirds after their Merit League game at Harrogate fourths was called off.
An early try by Jack Gabbatiss was soon cancelled out, but Nick Atkinson then strode over.
’Trees again let Leos back into the game, but a route one try by number eight Ben Morrison gave the visitors a 19-12 half-time lead.
Captain Dave Harder scored a try and there was a 50-yard effort from Alex Robertshaw before another touch down from Morrison as ’Trees took command.
Leos pulled a try back but another strong run from Morrison saw him off-load to supporting winger Dan Crump.
Tommy Atkinson converted to take his tally of successful kicks to six.
