HEWORTH ARLC teenager Tyler Craig is in the England Community Lions Under-18s squad for the upcoming international schedule – and his rise in the game could be further boosted by joining up again with York City Knights.
Half-back/hooker Craig, left, already a regular in the Villagers’ first team, was with the Knights for pre-season last year and could do likewise this winter.
He has previously played under Knights head coach Chris Thorman for the York College RL development team, and would probably have played for the reserves this year but for a broken wrist suffered at the end of the amateur season. He later played in a Knights U18s scholarship match against Workington.
He has been named in England U18s coach Kelvin Lockett’s 27-man squad, who will meet France on November 4 in Hemel Hempstead, Scotland on November 9 in Whitehaven, and Wales on November 13 in Wrexham.
