DESPITE a battling performance from man of the match Adam Endersby, York Acorn could not rein in visitors Saddleworth who won their National Conference premier division clash 35-12.
Acorn were competitive for most of the game but lacked the firepower to match their visitors who finished with no fewer than six tries.
The reward for Acorn, meanwhile, were tries for Tim Elliott and Jon Hill either side of half-time with both converted by stand-off Jon Liddell.
Prop Endersby excelled for the hosts but there were also solid performances from Steve Mackley, who created the first try, and Kyle Palmer.
